Yes, its just ideas not requirements for the first versions…

For the first versions just being able to change PHP version will be great, lots of customers are likely to contact us before playing with the settings and if they do only their version of PHP will be affected and they will be able to fix it by selecting the correct options.

Maybe a "reset" button could be good too so a user could go back to the serverwide default modules (I dont think a reset for PHP version would be necessary.

I love the idea of being able to only select the bare minimum options for PHP by default and allowing users to choose their prerequisits

      Just excellent Igor !

Will be there option to select PHP v5.2?

We are moving everything to the new servers where is PHP v5.3 default version, so many clients probably will need option to change PHP back to v5.2.

We are first going to release 5.3 & 5.4, but I think by the end of October, we should have php5.2 -- and possibly php5.1 (as long as it is secure).

Really glad to see that this is getting close to launch! Also another vote for 5.2 support.

The release is planned for later today or early in the day tomorrow. PHP 5.2 should come with CL5 already, and in a few days -- with CL6.

Great ! Looks like this could be usable on our next server we are planning to get around the end of november (depending mainly on cPanel releasing Apache 2.4).

In future versions, will we be able to enforce certain extensions (IE : suhosin, APC… ) ?

                              Hello Igor,

Does PHP selector work with PECL extensions ?

Here are a few that we run that aren in the default Easy Apache configuration :

                              uploadprogress
                              imagik
                              pgsql-pdo

Will there be or is there already a method to manually add extensions that are compiled from source ?

                              Thanks

This is a great add-on Igor.
                                Nice Job.

                                A few questions:
                                1 - When will it support 5.2
2 - Will it have per customer php.ini?
3 - When will it be released for production?
