Kernelcare.x86_64 0:2.34-1.el7 causing failed crons related to libcare
I wanted to bring an issue I have observed with Package kernelcare.x86_64 0:2.34-1.el7.
For some reason when upgrading to this version it generates an invalid logrorate.d file that has caused failed cron emails to be generated on more than one CentOS server.
The email looks like this
Code:Subject: Anacron job cron.daily on host /etc/cron.daily/logrotate: error: libcare:3 bad rotation count 5 # keep 5 last archives error: found error in /var/log/libcare/*.log , skipping
Our solution has been to remove all the comments from the file and do a force on logrotate to confirm it solved the issue.
Code:logrotate --force /etc/logrotate.d/libcare
Edit
Have since seen there is also a forum on Cpanels forum relating to this.
