  • Installation Error Cloud Linux & Cpanel & Kernels

Ive followed all the direction to install CL on my server, but I still get a blank screen when I login to WHM and the LVE Plugin. My user account stats stay at 0/100.

Its pretty strange because in WHM it states that I am running: Cloudlinux 5.8 x86_64

Here are outputs for some of the common commands Ive seen posted around here to help you out:

    #uname -a

    Linux server1.famousmedianetwork.com 2.6.33.5-rscloud #2 SMP Thu Jun 10 15:26:23 UTC 2010 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

    # uname -r
    2.6.33.5-rscloud

    # /etc/init.d/httpd -M|grep hosting
[warn] module hostinglimits_module is already loaded, skipping
    Syntax OK

    # rpm -qa|grep lve

    lve-utils-0.6-10.el5.cloudlinux

    lve-stats-0.8-2.el5.cloudlinux
    kernel-xen-2.6.18-408.8.2.el5.lve0.8.61.3

    # rpm -qa | grep kernel
    kernel-headers-2.6.18-408.8.2.el5.lve0.8.61.3
    kernel-2.6.18-408.8.2.el5.lve0.8.61.3
    kernel-xen-2.6.18-408.8.2.el5.lve0.8.61.3

    # rpm -qa | grep iolimits
    returns nothing

Im not sure if there is a kernal issue or not but when installed CloudLinux, i received an error message. Here is the entire install output. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

The VM is not booted into our kernel.
    Please, check /boot/grub/grub.conf

It appears that I dont have a grub.conf file in that directory. What should I do?

          root@server1 [~]# ls /boot/grub -l
          total 48
          drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Aug 19 11:04 ./
          drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Aug 18 20:10 . ./

It sounds like you have paravirutualized VM. You would need to setup /boot/grub/menu.lst, link it to /boot/grub/grub.conf (and /etc/grub.conf), and use pygrub to boot the kernel.
If you would like -- our support will help you with that.
