  • Installings and enabling memcached

    Hi!

I have CentOS Cloudlinux with CageFS and php selector with mod_lsapi on my server.

I only have opcache enabled and i have mainly joomla and wordpress websites.

Can you help me and give me some guidance on how to install memcached?
Do i need to enable both modules in php (memcache and memcached)?

    Thanks

      Hi!
I know i have to enable the php extensions... I think i have to install something on the system CentOS/Cloudlinux right?

What commands do i have to run?
What i have seen on other forums is that i have to run "yum install memcached". I that enough? Do i need to enable anything else or for Cloudlinux is enough to enable the php extensions and it simply works?

      Thanks

        Hello Nuno,

yes, you are right, you need just to run the # yum install memcached , to enable memcached and memcache package with needed options and needed PHP version.

            Hi!

I have installed memcached # yum install memcached
And started the service # service memcached start
Then i enabled the php module on lve and on user accounts
            I restarted apache

But i cant see memcached doing anything.
Im tracing memcached and its doing nothing

Please can someone give full indications on how to enable memcached?

            Thanks
