  • CentOS 7.3 Unknown Kernel on standard Kernel - Could support be added?

    Hi,

Just setup a new VPS, and installed the standard CentOS 7 kernel and then installed KernelCare and it appears as the Kernel is not supported currently, could you add it please

    OS: centos-release-7-3.1611.el7.centos.x86_64
    Kernel: 3.10.0-514.26.2.el7.x86_64

    KernelCare says:
Unknown kernel (CentOS Linux 3.10.0-514.26.2.el7.x86_64), no patches available

    Thanks

    Regards,
    Garry

Sorry for late response. 3.10.0-514.26.2.el7.x86_64 was the newest kernel at the time. Such releases usually do not have known security problems, so in their cases Unknown kernel error isnt as serious issue as with older kernels. As you noticed, support for this kernel is already added to KernelCare. Please, do not hesitate to contact our support team if similar problem occurs on your systems in the future, especially if mentioned kernel version is an old one
