Updating CloudLinux

Hello,

I am trying to update my CloudLinux server, however I am having some problems with it. I have an error about the CLN channel support is disable because it can not communicate with the CLN. I just finished updating to 5.6 without any problems during the update.

Could you post exact message, also try running:
rhn_check

and show exact output as well.
Additionally

Hi Igor,

I tried running rhn_check and it did output this:

root@gold [/]# rhn_check
There was an error communicating with CLN.
CLN channel support will be disabled.
Error communicating with server. The message was:
Name or service not known
An error has occurred:
Name or service not known
See /var/log/up2date for more information

I pinged both those addresses and it would not return any data.

Could you still post the output, I need to see the IPs it is trying to reach.
Also, traceroute to those IPs would help.

Something is wrong with DNS/resolvers, as it doesn resolve cln.cloudlinux.com
I checked nameservers for domain -- and they respond correctly.

One way to overcome it (short term), add following line to /etc/hosts
206.217.197.21 cln.cloudlinux.com

Long term -- we need to figure out why your servers cannot resolve domain properly. If you would like -- I can take a look at your server. Plz email me direct, or submit a ticket.
