    Hosting a Local Update Server

    Hello-

Im evaluating CloudLinux for our hosting environment.

One of the "nice-to-have" features we are looking for is the ability for CloudLinux to integrate into our patching/management infrastructure. Specifically, we would like it to connect to our internal Spacewalk server.

Failing that, we would like to be able to mirror packages locally, and have our servers configured to receive updates only from our mirror.

I realize that some packages are held back from the public repositories if the system requesting those packages does not have an entitlement. This probably means that hosting a local mirror could be problematic.

Has anyone configured their CloudLinux to use a local repository for CL updates? Is this even supported?

Thanks much for any help/information you can provide.

We cannot integrate with spacewalk due to the need to run our license checks/etc... Unless you have lots and lots of servers - it is not feasible.

For local mirror -- please, read this (this also requires at least 50 servers in your datacenter)
