Hello,
We are currently using CloudLinux 5.x on our cpanel servers.
However, we would like to be able to use the IO Limit functionality.
My understanding is that this feature is only possible if we upgrade to v6.x or switch to the hybrid 5.x kernel.
There is no easy upgrade fr om CloudLInux 5.x to 6.x, so that option is not really possible. (We have too many websites on the server and over 300gb of customer data.. so upgrading would be a nightmare with too much downtime, etc..)
So the only possible option is to switch to the hybrid 5.x kernel...
... but I dont understand what are the BAD things about this kernel.
In other words.. what are the "gotchas" if we switch to hybrid kernel so we can use io lim iting feature? Will we lose some features? Do some things not work correctly in the hybrid kernel?
Put it another way... why *shouldnt* we use the hybrid 5.x kernel?
Thanks!
