  • Kernelcare PATCH_TYPE Issue

    Hi Folks
Good day to you all , I am wondering whether I can get help on one particular issue facing with kernelcare.
I have installed kcare and configuring it to pull only "n-1" patches by specifying option "PATCH_TYPE = n-1" inside file /etc/sysconfig/kcare/kcare.conf .. but its throws this error while I do kcarectl --update

    Downloading updates
The `100` patch level is not found for `n-1` patch type. Please select valid patch type or patch level

then I tried changing PATCH_TYPE to stable then latest last to default but nothing helped finally i have to disable that option in kcare.conf to apply patches
I tried to see man , info pages of kcarectl .. unfortunately nothing exists .. the online documentation also doesn't sems have anything pointing to this
So please help me to understand whats wrongs I am doing and where I can find the full option of PATCH_TYPE config parameter.

    Thanks in Advance

    Hi,

This option support only a few values, the extra and free. You might find more information on this page: https://docs.tuxcare.com/live-patchi...extra-patchset .

Please explain what you are trying to achieve and we will suggest the solution. Please also try the virtual assistant AI bot on the documentation page, it is pre-trained on KB and documentation and is extremely useful.
