  • See processes of others

    Hello All,

I was hoping if someone could answer the following answer:

We have a lot of servers running Cloudlinux. One of our customers wants to take his (cpanel)account of the jail/cage and being able to see the processes of other accounts via the cli. However when i take a user out of his cage, this user still only sees his own processes. This also happens if we manually add a user via the cli, this user only sees his own processes.

Could someone please explain if the above is possible or not?

    Thank you,

    Greetings Wietse.

    Hi,

The feature is not related to CageFS, however to kernel functionality and virtualized /proc/ filesystem. You can add a user to special group that will be able to see other processes. Usually this is needed by some monitoring services like zabbix etc.
