Can I safely downgrade from 5.7 to 5.6 with MySQL Governor without braking my existing dbs? As you know, this is not anymore possible with the WHM MySQL Upgrade tool.

As it mentioned in our KB:
Changing MySQL version is a quite complicated procedure, it causes system table structural changes which can lead to unexpected results. Think twice before proceeding.
In any case, please make full database backup before changing MySQL version. Additional information about how to change MySQL version can be found here:
