I need to test my web dev work on mobile, but this archaic home modem isnt allowing any local connections to work and its driving me insane
So Ive decided I need a cheap linux VPS so I can regularly copy over my local website progress and host it privately so I can access it on my phone over the internet
Just simple SSH access to something like an ubuntu machine, on which I can install node
What do you people use these days?
I was just looking at "A2 Hosting", however the moment I tried to get started, it wont let me proceed without configuring a top level domain
I mean what? Who said anything about needing a domain name to run a server? I just need direct IP access for my own usage? I can easily configure a subdomain, but it wants a TLD apparently?
