cURL Version Update

How can I update the version of curl used for a client?

I have a client who has a script which requires 1.0 or higher curl. Presently 0.9.8b is installed.

Are we talking about curl package? Or, about openssl package?
Do you use CloudLinux 5 ? I assume you do, but unfortunately it is not possible to update openssl to v1 on CL5.

I believe you may be right. We have a few servers which still require migration.
