  • Updates not working - CLN

    Hello,

Since this morning (around 1:00 in Lisbon Time) that i cannot update my Cloudlinux servers.
Every time i try to run "yum update", he just hangs until timeout.

I also notice that the issue doesnt happen if i disable the "rhnplugin" in the yum, what leads me to belive that is something related with CLN...

There is any issue that can cause this?

    Thanks

    Hi,

I can confirm that this is happening on our server also:

    Code:
error was [Errno 12] Timeout on [URL]https://mirror-cl.domainhizmetleri.com/XMLRPC/GET-REQ/cloudlinux-x86_64-server-7/repodata/primary.xml.gz[/URL]: (28, Operation too slow. Less than 1000 bytes/sec transferred the last 120 seconds)
Ive already tried to clean the yum cache but it still doesnt work.

    Thanks.

i saw the update after it was a bit too late. i formatted a system last night and went to perform an CentOS 8/cPanel reinstall. things appeared to have collected correctly, for the most part.

although everything appears operational, im having a few repo issues.

heres an error from trying to install the Apache Solr plugin:

          Code:
          Error:

(try to add --skip-broken to skip uninstallable packages or --nobest to use not only best candidate packages)

          [2021-01-13 11:36:42 -0500] info [xml-api] Completed yum execution “--assumeyes --color=never --config /etc/yum.conf install cpanel-dovecot-solr --enablerepo=cloudlinux-PowerTools --enablerepo=epel”: in 4.533 second(s).

Cpanel::Exception::ProcessFailed::Error/(XID ga3z5h) “/usr/bin/yum” reported error code “1” when it ended:

          at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/ChildErrorStringifier.pm line 161.
Are there any commands that I should run again? Should I reformat the drives and start from scratch?

Worth noting... the server has not been turned over to production server.

If is not a server in production, is better just reinstall - easy and simple. But a "yum clean all" doesnt hurt too.
