cPanel account protection

Hello,

On a fresh server installation noticed the setting "cPanel account protection" in Settings -> General -> WebShield.

Haven't used this service before. Searched in the documentation to find how it works but i was unable.

It's about a "JavaScript challenge" for the login to cPanel, as far as i understand, which would add an extra layer of security without causing much trouble. We do use cPanel's API to get/post data but other than that, we don't make anything sophisticated.

We would be fine activating it, right?

You are completely right about its function.
It is a feature implemented recently so there is not much information about it and you may find more details on our blog https://blog.imunify360.com/beta-imu...-v7.1-released
Enabling it should create no issue especially if cPanel's API is in use.
Nevertheless, in case you notice anything out of order after switching on "cPanel account protection", please do not hesitate to report the behaviour to our support team.
