  • Bug Report - userdata_bl_* files removed by updates

First, the upgrades are great! I especially like seeing when malicious files are added to the quarantine.

There is one problem, though. Each night for the past three nights my userdata_bl_* files (e.g., /etc/apache2/conf.d/modsec_vendor_configs/imunify360_full_litespeed/userdata_bl_agents, et al) have been replaced by empty files.

This happened on all servers so it seems to be a general behavior of the Imunify360 update rather than server specific.

    Hi, Ray!

First of all, thank you for your passion for making imunify360 more securely and stable. Algorithms of imunify360 product are not using userdata_bl_ * files for blocking users. Those files contain the list of bad user-agents, IPs etc. Our algorithms are analyzing different types of attacks and already include analysis off bad user-agent, queries, IPs, etc instead of using static files for that. We update the list of bad IPs dynamically and it gives our clients more stable results in blocking their hosts from attacks.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Have a nice day!
    Best Regards,
    Andrew R
