  • Imunify360 and Cloudflare

    Hi,

Im looking at ServerShield by CloudFlare for a Plesk server, main reason is CDN and faster server response. But, Im not sure of the added value in Cloudflare when using Imunify360. And if there are benefits how to best use these two together.

    Anyone experience whit this?

    Thanks in advance,

    Jerry

Although CloudFlare can protect your websites http/https communication, there are modules Imunify360 provides that can still be useful for you:
    1) IDS that works for all protocols (not only http/https)
    2) TCP/UDP port (un)blocking for IPs/subnets
    3) malware scanning of servers hard disks and automatic restore from backup
    4) reputation management for users domains
    5) KernelCare - rebootless kernel updates
    6) Hardened PHP - providing patched legacy PHP binaries (from PHP 4.4 to 7.2)

Forgot to mention - the benefits of CloudFlare are additional WAF and (D)DoS protection. It also hides real server IP from attackers.

If you use the railgun listener will that traffic bypass Imunify360?

CloudFlares IPs are whitlisted in Imunify360, so that this kind traffic is not blocked. If the railgun connections are coming from IPs other than standard, do not forget to whitelist them to avoid blocking. Meanwhile, we are working on better CF/Railgun integration with Imunify360. The internal identifier of this epic is DEF-1538
