    About securelinks setting in Cloudlinux

  • #2
    Hi,

    I have just bought a cloudlinux OS and have installed it with my cPanel with apache.

    I have installed all the plugins/features but my only concern remains for securelinks because blocking symlinks is my main concern. So, I just want to confirm whether I did it correctly or not.

    I opened /etc/sysctl.conf and add these lines:

    fs.enforce_symlinksifowner = 2
    fs.symlinkown_gid = 99

    And then I ran:

    sysctl -p

    Was that all I needed to do? Or I have to first implement it through a command and then edit configurations? Please suggest.

    Also, please check my values for fs.enforce_symlinksifowner and fs.symlinkown_gid if they are correct for Apache?

    I would really appreciate your answer because my main concern to use Cloudlinux was to block symlinks.

    Best Regards,
