  • Hitting limits every time client sends out an email blast via constant contact.

I have a client that never had a problem on my old non-CL server. Or at least if there was then it was never a noticeable problem meaning that sites almost never went offline despite having around 40 accounts on the server. On the cloudlinux server though this account hits limits every time they send out an email blast via constant contact. Like almost immediately after sending it the site hits the pmem, nproc, and ep limits. They get like 15-20 website hits off it at most before it goes down for 5-10 minutes.

Today when it hit they had around 400 EP faults and 418 NPROC faults. In the absence of an email blast everything seems fine and the site never goes down.

I currently have them on a custom plan set to:
    300% speed, 2.5G pmem, 15MB/sec IO, 60 EP, 150 NPROC, and 2048 IOPS.

The server has a 16 core ryzen 9 with 32 processors and 8gb of memory.

They are routed through cloudflare in the hopes that it would help.

They don't have a cache on their website which I am sure would probably help. They say they can't do a cache because it screws up something with their content.

I don't have the WP accelerator thing in CL. Not sure if that would help or not.

If it was your client would you just push them into a VPS of their own or should I continue to tweak their limits up even more? Would tweaking them higher potentially cause problems for the server as a whole? I haven't noticed any problems on any other accounts so I have just been kicking them up a little at a time (the EP and NPROC) hoping that it would be enough.

    Hi,

I guess this is wordpress, right? If you use CloudLinux OS Pro please try using the X-Ray feature which could show some insights of such issue. The EP and NPROC are uncommon, they could be related to some plugin or even to hacked website so better to double check with Imunify360.
