Limiting clamd

Is there a way to limit / throttle a process based on its name or location ?
Seems like on busy servers clamd sucks the life of them causing issues.

Can I limit it somehow (inside an lve?) or I should try to use alternative methods (ionice for example?)

You can use lve_suwrapper (link to our doc section) to run clamd inside LVE.
