  • Remove unused packages (RPMS?)

    Hi,

I tried uninstalling php-version that are not used by EA and did this via the "yum remove xx-xx" command. Now I am starting to think that this was not the proper way, because listing all the installed rpms shows a lot of entries similar to these

    Code:
    alt-php44-bcmath.x86_64 4.4.9-67.el6 @cloudlinux-x86_64-server-6

    alt-php44-cli.x86_64 4.4.9-67.el6 @cloudlinux-x86_64-server-6

    alt-php44-common.x86_64 4.4.9-67.el6 @cloudlinux-x86_64-server-6

    alt-php44-dba.x86_64 4.4.9-67.el6 @cloudlinux-x86_64-server-6

    alt-php44-dbx.x86_64 4.4.9-67.el6 @cloudlinux-x86_64-server-6

    alt-php44-firebird.x86_64 4.4.9-67.el6 @cloudlinux-x86_64-server-6

    alt-php44-gd.x86_64 4.4.9-67.el6 @cloudlinux-x86_64-server-6

    alt-php44-imap.x86_64 4.4.9-67.el6 @cloudlinux-x86_64-server-6
How can I remove these safely without borking my system? I am kind n00bing my way around with the combination of cPanel, Cloudlinux, so any help or tips are welcome.

    Thanks in advance!

What command you issued exactly? I have just tried yum erase alt-php44 and it want to remove only alt-php44 packages. Please find attached screenshot.
