LVE Physical Memory Issue on CL7 Testing Kernel

  • #2
    Hello,

On one server were currently using the 3.10.0-329.7.2.lve1.3.50.el7.x86_64 kernel from the updates-repo with the latest stable cPanel/WHM and everything seems to be working quite well, with the exception of the memory usage statistics in most of the cPanel accounts, and more specifically the Physical Memory Usage stat.

Most of the accounts (all of which are present in CageFS) show the exact same value which is something akin to 1,612.8 / 512 MB, which is also being shown in the LVE Manager from WHM / lveinfo.

Despite those values, the accounts seem to be working normally without any issues.

We have tried reapplying the lve limits, restarting lve & rebuilding the lve sqlite db, to no avail.

Currently the only way to fix this seems to be a server reboot, which nulls everything, but it grows again over time, and at this point were at our wits end..

Any suggestions/ideas regarding the matter are greatly appreciated, also please let me know if you need any further information.

    Thanks,
    R

      Hello Johan,

We are aware about this issue, the core of it is in systemd which is managing cgroups and as a result sometime breaks LVE stats. Our developers prepared updated systemd package and most probably it will be released really soon.

Thank you for the clarification on the matter.

Would you please update this thread when your new systemd package is released?

        Thanks upfront.
