Theres no need to restart the server when KernelCare is running and updating the running kernel.

Thanks Vladimir, yum update gave me the latest.
So, presumably I dont need to restart the server?
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
KernelCare updates only security bugs/stability bugs in kernel. It doesnt change the whole kernel.
That is why yum shows available updates.

Check if kernel is up to date
Hello. Im seeing this patch in yum check-update on my server since 23rd October:
kernel.x86_64 1:2.6.32-954.3.5.lve1.4.58.el6 cloudlinux-x86_64-server-6
However, kcare suggests the kernel is up to date:
# kcarectl -i
> kpatch-state: patch is applied
> kpatch-for: Linux version 2.6.32-896.16.1.lve1.4.54.el6.x86_64
