Convert from i686 to x86_64

Is it possible to convert a 32-bit installation to 64-bit?

We
e currently running "CLOUDLINUX 6.2 i686 standard" with cPanel/WHM.
Is it possible to convert this to the 64-bit version?
Would it run faster / would we gain anything?

Full re-install of the OS would be needed.

Would it run faster -- yes.
If you have more then 4GB of ram -- you should gain at least 10% in performance.
