RIP CFS (ConfigServer Security & Firewall) Now what?

    Howdy all!

WHM/cPanel/Cloudlinx/Imunify360 user here. Curious what you all plan to do not that CFS is not longer going to be receiving updates. Time to just uninstall it? Keep it for another few months?

On another note, does CloudLinux have a reccomended method for removing it? Will Imunify just fall back to using it as a complete solution or do we need up updae our I360 install?

    Looking forward to your thoughts!

It is unfortunate that they are discontinuing their service; I have personally been utilizing it for decades. I would like to highlight that the `csf` has been extremely beneficial for firewall maintenance.

Nonetheless, according to their announcement the previously installed software will continue to function after that date, but it will no longer be available for download after August 31. They plan to release the csf itself under the GPLv3, making it accessible via their GitHub repository.

As of today the best idea is to keep it.

That was my thought for now, the port management and brute force protection is great, maybe it'll go public and Imunify can integrate those features. Thanks for the feedback!
