rescan-outdated, No longer exists

Hi there,

I received a long list of Cause: rescan-outdated, Event: No longer exists warnings which don't appear to be malware warnings. Most were related to WP Rocket and Gravity Forms and I have never seen this before.

What does this mean and should I be worried?

There is nothing to worry about.

These events are expected and are a part of a new update (internal task DEF-31394, see https://changelog.imunify.com/imunify360 for AV module v8.2.0).

The status `rescan-outdated` indicates that this file has previously been detected by the scanner (a detection record should already exist in the history). The primary objective is to align the number of malware history events with the data presented in the malware dashboard chart on the DASHBOARD tab. Prior to this adjustment, such events were not considered in the malware history, resulting in discrepancies in the data, which may have led to confusion in its interpretation.

You can check the history of malware detection by pasting the path to one of the files with this status in Malware Scanner > History > Search field.
