Imunify360 LiteSpeed custom rules and userdata removed during updates

I have a few custom rules (created new file -- not added to current file) and a fair amount of user data (e.g., userdata_bl_agents, userdata_bl_IPs). Every time modsec is updated my custom rules file is removed and the userdata_bl_* files are replaced with empty, default files.

Short of making the files immutable, is there a way to prevent Imunity360 updates from removing my customizations?

    Hello Ray,

In new versions we do not overwrite userdata_ files, but they are not used.
That is, to customize our set of rules cannot be.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
    Thanks in advance!

So I can no longer provide a list of useragents I want to block?

If I write custom conf files (e.g., 006_i360_6_custom.conf) will they be removed when Imunify360 is updated?

Hello Ray, we do not recommend customizing our rulset.
You can add a rule here /etc/apache2/conf.d/modsec/modsec2.user.conf
and save the date-file to yourself.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
        Thanks in advance!
