  • Imunify360 Causing High CPU Loads

    Hello,
Recently our server has seen some high loads from Imunify360.

We had the guys at ConfigServer do their Server Service to our server and one of their observations was the following

    > The heaviest performance impact for CPU is coming from /opt/alt/php74-imunify/usr/bin/php, which I presume is the imunify scanner

Is there a way to limit how much resources Imunify takes? or is there something I could do to ensure Imunify doesnt bring our server to a crawl.

    Thanks in advance.

Hello, thank you for your message. Our support team suggests to do the following:

    1) In Imunify360 > Settings > Malware decrease CPU/IO consumption. The scanning will be taking slightly more time, but the load will be lower.

    2) Choose the scanning schedule, so the scanning will be performed when there is minimum number of visitors, e.g. weekly scan at 3 AM on Monday.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact our support team, they will be happy to help - https://cloudlinux.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

    Thanks!
