    Hi,

    Symlink protection is already there in CloudLinux OS kernel, so theres no free patches available for it.
    You can find more information on symlink protection in CloudLinux OS here: https://docs.cloudlinux.com/cloudlin...l/#securelinks

    Anyway, you can use KernelCare to patch your kernel for all other vulnerabilities provided you have a license for it.

    free Symlink Protection

    Hello, tried to install the free Symlink Protection but getting error-free patch type is unavailable for your kernel
    I read somewhere in the cpanel forum that the symlink protector included with the purchased license.
    My Q uestion is : how to remove the free kernel that was installed with the command - curl -s https://repo.cloudlinux.com/kernelca...are_install.sh | bash

    Code:
    $ rpm -q kernel

    kernel-3.10.0-1160.el7.x86_64

    kernel-3.10.0-962.3.2.lve1.5.42.el7.x86_64
    This is the SSH installation log when tried to run the free symlink protection:

    Code:
    Running transaction

    Installing : kernelcare-2.38-1.el7.x86_64                                 1/1

    Verifying  : kernelcare-2.38-1.el7.x86_64                                 1/1

    Installed:

    kernelcare.x86_64 0:2.38-1.el7
