    Howdy,

    I added "yara-4*" to my /etc/yum.confs exclude= line to work around this.

    Thanks!

  • cloudlinux-imunify360s yara package conflicts with Epels one

    Hi There

    Error: Package: alt-python35-yara-3.5.0-10.el7.x86_64 (@cloudlinux-imunify360)
    Requires: libyara.so.3()(64bit)
    Removing: yara-3.11.0-1.el7.x86_64 (@epel)
    libyara.so.3()(64bit)
    Updated By: yara-4.1.0-1.el7.x86_64 (epel)
    ~libyara.so.8()(64bit)
    Available: yara-3.5.0-5.el7.x86_64 (cloudlinux-imunify360)
    libyara.so.3()(64bit)

    As clarified in aforementioned output of yum update command. there is a conflict as "alt-python35-yara-3.5.0-10.el7.x86_64" package requires "libyara.so.3()(64bit)" whereas yum chooses to update yara package to the latest version which support by epel repo "yara-4.1.0-1.el7.x86_64 (epel)" with "libyara.so.8()(64bit)" and that will break dependancy of alt-python package.

    I excluded yara package from epel repo as a workaround till getting any update from your side.

    your input is highly appreciated.

    Thanks & BR
