  • Confirming cloudlinux is "Live"

    Hi,

I noticed that before I rebooted the server (after fresh install). In WHM were it usually says CENTOS 5.5 x86_64 standard on server. It had said CLOUDLINUX ect. However now that I rebooted the server it is back saying CENTOS 5.5 x86_64 standard on server. runnng this command it does seem to be loaded

    Code:
    root@server [~]# uname -r

    2.6.18-338.5.1.el5.lve0.8.25

    root@server [~]# lsmod|grep lve

    lve 59784 2
I was just wondering why it was not saying cloudlinux in WHM anymore.

    Thanks

If you are using cPanel then CloudLinux will change /etc/redhat-release to have "CentOS release 5.5 (Final)" so that it doesn break cPanel updates. Now that CloudLinux is officially supported by cPanel this will hopefully change.

makes sense since I saw this:

      Linux server.gckickstarter.com 2.6.18-338.5.1.el5.lve0.8.25 #1 SMP Mon Mar 28 12:25:47 EEST 2011 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
      CloudLinux Server release 5.6
      CentOS release 5.5 (Final)

Looks like they were running side by side.

      Thanks for the info.

      Frank
