  • Will ruby selector work with litespeed

    Hello,

Ive just noticed that alt-ruby was enabled in our clients cPanel userinterface and just says that alt-ruby isnt installed.

Will we need any specific settings for litespeed ? Do we have to have cPanels ruby installed ?

    Can we just run :

    yum install lvemanager alt-python-virtualenv alt-mod-passenger
    yum groupinstall alt-python
    yum groupinstall alt-ruby
    yum install alt-python27-devel

    ?

Or do we need to set up something else in litespeed ?

    Thanks

Ive just read from litespeed that its not compatible.

What would be the steps to make it compatible ? Would it need work from Litespeed ?

We don know yet. We will start working on it in the next 2-3 weeks, once we release another alt-python/alt-ruby update.

We are waiting for LiteSpeed to make it possible. Right now they don have flexibility to support multiple versions of python/ruby per customer.

                  Thanks,

Litespeed initially said they needed you to compile them with lsapi, I have asked them for an update to find out if they have an ETA.

LiteSpeed released a script yesterday and they need more testers:

We are currently in a situation where we need to have node.js work in a shared hosting environment. The big issue here is that litespeed can only proxy to node.js. Considering that, when node.js has finished serving a page, it will not know where to serve the page. Incidentally, you can only...
