Hi, Ive been using Cloudlinux on my CPanel VPS server for several years and very happy with it, but, to be honest, I still dont really understand how I should be configuring the parameters for users on the server. I have a 200G VPS, with 16G Ram, running 90 accounts (nearly all Wordpress), with about 70 of these being small, quiet sites with very little traffic. I have about 10 sites which are relatively busy and run quite a few WP services, and about 10 which are more demanding ... and where the client is more alert to faults & problems on their site
I group these accounts into three packages .. Small SPEED = 100% PMEM = 512M IO = 4MB/s IOPS = 1024 EP = 30 NPROC = 100 Medium SPEED = 150% PMEM = 1G IO = 6MB/s IOPS = 1024 EP = 40 NPROC = 100 High SPEED = 200% PMEM = 2G IO = 8MB/s IOPS = 1024 EP = 80 NPROC = 100 These levels were configured when the VPS was set-up and only time I ever change them if sometimes to bump up an individual accounts PMEM on an ad-hoc basis. I dont offer public hosting, so no-one client is even aware of their packages or levels. Rarely does any account reach its limit and cause a fault, but it does happen from time to time with the High accounts I know a proper investigation would need in-dept info but based on what Ive provided, can anyone offer guidance on these questions .... 1. Do these levels look sensible? Am I being too restrictive or too lax? 2. If, say, I increased the larger accounts PMEM to 3G or 4G (which is the limit most often reached) to remove any faults, would this make any difference to the running of all other sites? Thanks.
Sam.
