  • Fcgid LVEID

    Hello,

I was interested in knowing if there is any way to force Fcgid requests to go into other LVEID than the owner uid of the php-cgi process? I saw with mod_hostinglimits its possible to set any LVE ID we want other than SuexecUserGroup..

This would come handy if we decide to apply LVE limits on a reseller account rather than individual accounts.

    Regards,
    Suhas

No, we no longer support that. It was supported before, when we were patching mod_fcgid -- but no one used it, and we found a way to tie it to SuexecUserGroup without modifying mod_fcgid itself.

      Ok,

So just out of curiosity, what is the use case of being able to change LVEID with mod_hostinglimits but not with mod_fcgid... if we want to be able to change LVEID of a particular account, we would definitely want to change it for all requests that apache serves for that account including cgi, plain text (mod_hostinglimits) and fastcgi.

      Regards,

Someone using suPHP or mod_php on a server without control panel.
At this stage -- it is not meant for regular control panels or mod_fcgid.
