  • CageFS - Does it matter if user has Jailed or Regular shell?

    Hello,
If I am using CageFS, does it matter if user has jailed or regular shell? Is there any difference?
    Thanks.

I was told by CloudLinux support to always set accounts to normal shell when using cagefs.

Ok, thanks. I was not able to find this in the documentation anywhere. Maybe I am blind...

Thats and old one (thread) but really, why normal ?
SFTP and shell access are working with jailed shell too.

I know its already caged and I see the same directories with normal -and- jailed, just curious why

Inside CageFS jailshell acts same as regular shell -- as it has no real reason to exist. CageFS already provides "jailed" environment.
